Campus Master Plan 2035 Planning Targets

Become a Top 10 Public University with Unsurpassed Societal Impact.
Create positive, measurable change - both immediate and generational - in the quality of life of individuals across our state resulting from our teaching, research, service and health care efforts.
Provide Physical Space to Accommodate $1.5B in Research Funding.
The University of Utah continues to serve as an epicenter for new technologies, treatments and discoveries that have the power to change lives and each day brings new ideas with transformative potential.
Grow Student Enrollment to 45,000 by 2035.
The University of Utah does not cap enrollments. As a state institution, in a state with a growing population, the University must be prepared to accommodate the targeted enrollment goal. The graduate student enrollment must grow to support the projected research growth.
House 8,500 Undergraduate Beds + 1,050 Family and Graduate Apartments.
Access to student housing increases graduation rates among students, increases satisfaction and GPA.
